Regarding the Handling of Customer Information

Thank you for your continued support of our business operations.
We have established the following policy regarding the handling of customer information. We are committed to appropriately protecting customer information in accordance with this policy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
I. Philosophy on Information Protection
Our company handles customer information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information") and personal identification numbers (Note 1) (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Personal Information, etc.") as follows:
*Note 1: "Personal Identification Number" refers to a number designated to identify a specific individual in accordance with the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (hereinafter referred to as the "Number Use Act"). Personal Information that includes a Personal Identification Number is referred to as "Specific Personal Information."*
(1)We will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Number Use Act, and other relevant laws and regulations, and will handle personal information appropriately. We will also strive to improve our handling practices as needed.
(2)We will clearly define regulations regarding the handling of personal information and ensure that our employees are fully informed. We will also request that our business partners handle personal information appropriately.
(3)When collecting personal information, we will specify and notify or publish the purpose of use and handle personal information in accordance with that purpose. Furthermore, even within the scope of the purpose of use, we will not handle personal information in a manner that violates antitrust laws, such as by using personal information to exclude other businesses and hinder fair competition.
(4)To prevent leakage, loss, or alteration of personal information, we will implement necessary measures and ensure appropriate management as follows:
1.Establishing regulations regarding methods of handling personal information, responsible persons, and their duties during the acquisition and use of personal information.
2.Creating a system to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding personal information handling and establishing a reporting contact system to notify responsible persons of any violations or signs of violations.
3.Conducting regular training for employees regarding points to consider when handling personal information, and supervising business operations in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
4.Managing employee access to areas where personal information is handled.
5.Limiting the scope of personal information handled by employees through access controls.
6.When outsourcing the handling of personal information, selecting contractors that meet our required standards and entering into contracts that stipulate appropriate handling of personal information, as well as confirming compliance.
7.If personal information is handled in a foreign country, understanding the personal information protection system of that country and managing it appropriately in accordance with that system.
(5)We will accept requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use regarding retained personal information from the individual concerned at a designated contact point and will respond sincerely.
(6)We will accept requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use regarding retained personal information from the individual concerned at a designated contact point and will respond sincerely.
II. Customer Information
1. Purpose of Use
We collect customer information such as names, addresses, and phone numbers (excluding personal identification numbers and specific personal information; hereinafter referred to as "Customer Information") directly or through our commissioned business partners or publications such as phone directories and residential maps during the acceptance of various applications, contract conclusion and performance, and other business operations. We will use this information for the following purposes:
(1)Operation and maintenance of gas manufacturing plants and power generation stations
(2)Power generation and electricity supply
(3)Supply of chilled and hot water, steam, and other energy
(4)Design, construction, and maintenance of various plant and electrical equipment
(5)Related investigations, research, planning, development, investment, consulting, and industrial property investigations and transactions
(6)Implementation of other businesses related to the above (1) to (5)
2. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties
We will not disclose or provide customer information to third parties except in the following cases:
(1)When we have the consent of the individual concerned.
(2)When disclosure or provision is required by law.
(3)When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and obtaining the customer's consent is difficult.
(4)When it is particularly necessary for public health improvement or the promotion of sound child development and obtaining the customer's consent is difficult.
(5)When it is necessary to cooperate with the national or local government in the execution of public affairs and obtaining the customer's consent may hinder the execution of these affairs.
(6)When the third party is an academic research institution and handling the information for academic research purposes is necessary.
(7)When outsourcing the handling of customer information, when jointly using the information as described in the next section, or when it is legally permissible to provide it to a third party.
3. Joint Use
We will jointly use part of the customer information as follows:

4. Disclosure
If you wish to request the disclosure of your customer information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and respond within a reasonable period and scope.
5. Correction, etc.
If you wish to request corrections, additions, or deletions of your customer information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and correct, add, or delete the information if there are discrepancies with the facts within a reasonable period and scope.
6. Suspension of Use, etc.
If you wish to request the suspension of use or deletion of your customer information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and suspend use or stop providing it to third parties within a reasonable period and scope.
Please understand that if we suspend some or all of this information or stop providing it to third parties, we may not be able to provide you with services as requested (note that if a contract with the customer still exists and it is difficult to suspend use or stop providing information, we may be unable to accommodate requests for suspension of use or stopping third-party provision of the information held in accordance with relevant laws).
7. Method and Contact for Accepting Disclosure Requests
Requests for disclosure, corrections, or suspensions regarding customer information held by us (as described in 4, 5, and 6 above) and inquiries regarding our handling of customer information can be accepted by the following methods.
Please note that we may not respond to requests for disclosure that do not follow this method.
(1)Reception procedure
Please contact us via phone, mail, or email (see (2)). We will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and respond by providing electronic records, written documents, or another method as determined by us. Depending on the content of the request, you may be required to submit a designated application form. Please understand that it may take several days to respond. If there are costs associated with the response, you will be required to pay the fees as specified by us. Further details about the reception procedure will be provided upon request.
*If the request is made by the individual themselves, we will verify their identity using the following methods:*
- Verification of registered information such as name, address, and phone number.
- Returning a call to the registered phone number.
- Verification through identification documents such as a driver's license, passport, personal identification card (front), resident registration card, health insurance card, or seal registration certificate.
If the request is made by an agent, we will verify through a power of attorney from the individual along with a seal registration certificate indicating the seal used in the power of attorney and confirmation by phone, etc.

To ensure the accurate verification of identity, if you inquire by phone, we may ask you to provide information that only the individual would know (see Note in 7.(1)).
III. Information Regarding Business Partners
1. Purpose of Use
In conducting our business activities, we acquire information regarding the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of officers and employees of corporations and organizations with whom we have a business relationship or connection, through business card exchanges and other means (excluding personal identification numbers and specific personal information; hereinafter referred to as "Business Partner Information"). We will use this information for the following purposes:
(1)Business-related and transactional correspondence regarding the business of the corporation or organization, negotiations, information provision and collection, etc.
(2)Announcements and PR for the products and services of our company and Daigas Group companies.
(3)Other business activities related to the above (1) and (2).
Note that if any Business Partner Information also qualifies as Customer Information as described in Section II, it may be used as Customer Information according to those provisions.
2. Joint Use
We will jointly use part of the Business Partner Information as follows:
- Items of Business Partner Information jointly used: Corporate or organization name, department name, position, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, meeting history, and information obtained through meetings.
- Scope of joint users: Daigas Group companies, Osaka Gas Co., Ltd.
- Purpose of use by joint users: As stated in "1. Purpose of Use" above.
- Responsible parties for managing Business Partner Information: The joint user that originally obtained the Business Partner Information.
3. Disclosure, etc.
If you wish to request the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension, or other actions regarding Business Partner Information held by us, we will respond in accordance with the provisions in "II. Customer Information" under "4. Disclosure", "5. Correction, etc.", and "6. Suspension of Use, Deletion."
4. Method and Contact for Accepting Disclosure Requests
Requests for disclosure, corrections, or suspensions regarding Business Partner Information held by us (as described in 3 above) and inquiries regarding our handling of Business Partner Information can be accepted by the methods described in "II. Customer Information" under "7. Method for Accepting Disclosure Requests."
IV. Personal Identification Numbers and Specific Personal Information
1. Purpose of Use
We acquire personal identification numbers or specific personal information for the purpose of executing operations as defined by the Number Use Act. In this case, we use them for the following purposes:
(1)Tasks related to the creation and submission of payment statements for remuneration, fees, contracts, and prizes for lecturers, lawyers, tax accountants, labor and social security attorneys, etc. to whom we pay rewards, etc.
(2)Tasks related to the creation and submission of payment statements for real estate rental payments made to real estate landlords.
(3)Tasks related to the creation and submission of payment statements for the consideration of real estate acquired through payment to others.
(4)Tasks related to the creation and submission of payment statements for commission fees for the mediation of real estate sales or rentals paid to others.
(5)Other purposes specified by the Number Use Act.
2. Disclosure and Provision to Third Parties
We will not disclose or provide personal identification numbers or specific personal information to third parties beyond the scope defined by the Number Use Act.
3. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension, Deletion, and Other Inquiries
We will not disclose or provide personal identification numbers or specific personal information to third parties beyond the scope defined by the Number Use Act.
(1)Disclosure
If you wish to request the disclosure of your personal identification number or specific personal information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and respond within a reasonable period and scope.
(2)Correction, etc.
If you wish to request corrections, additions, or deletions of your personal identification number or specific personal information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and will correct, add, or delete the information if discrepancies with the facts exist within a reasonable period and scope.
(3)Suspension, Deletion, etc.
If you wish to request the suspension or deletion of your personal identification number or specific personal information held by us, we will confirm that the person making the request is the individual concerned and suspend use or delete it within a reasonable period and scope.
Please understand that if we suspend some or all of this information or stop providing it to third parties, we may not be able to provide you with services as requested (note that if we hold information according to relevant laws, we may not be able to accommodate requests for the suspension or deletion of the information).

Requests for disclosure, corrections, or suspensions regarding personal identification numbers or specific personal information held by us (as described in (1), (2), and (3) above) and inquiries regarding our handling of personal identification numbers or specific personal information can be accepted by the following methods.
